Nah, I think you could see from his stalling during one of the rounds that he's not. I suspect he's another one who never watches the programme and thinks he's expected to pretend he gets them himself. Which is a shame because he's otherwise fairly likable.

I heard today's winning contestant talking on BBC Radio 2 about 2 weeks ago, can't remember which show it was sorry.

Some spoilers for this week's spoilers can be found at: http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/2008/ ... festivals1

Just caught this game on +1 (only just got in) and I saw this way as well.

I must admit, its an obvious spot when watching at home :D, but when in the chair, it can easily be missed

Ah, did DC notice it? I meant it strange that that DC didn't notice it, really.

I'm sure I'd be nervous as hell if I went on the show, and probably not score very well.
I can't get to COLei this weekend, as my daughter is working, so can't babysit her younger brothers. I'd like to join you serious players
at an event before I apply for a Countdown audition again. Then I'd see if I could hold my own in a real competition! :D
Maybe sometime.

I don't think they did notice it (well I didn't hear it at least so that's good enough for me ).

The next event after COLEI is COLIN, which is in January (normally around the last Saturday of the month). If you are wanting some practice in between then, there possibly maybe some online events (known as COOTs) between COLEI and COLIN.

EDIT: This link: http://www.c4countdown.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=10 is where you will find all the info about online and in-person events :)
