Last numbers out of time:

(25+5-1-1)x(9+8) = 476.

Oh and the first numbers game was the worst one in the world. The challenger couldn't do it and the champion genuinely had to find 3 by doing 6-3. Odd!

Last numbers game, alternative answer. 25 x 9 = 225 + 8 + 5 = 238 x (1 + 1)

There was LOVEHEART in Round 3. Not really a word, obviously, but kinda cool.

OXYMORON :) Love that word. Although I cant think of that many common examples: Bittersweet, Living dead. Anyone think of any more?

Military intelligence.

Microsoft Works.

These are old, I'm sure more original examples can be found.

Er, that's not really an oxymoron. That's just two words which are opposites.

It is an oxymoron really. In context, the "loving" is an adjective. Obviously there's nothing contradictory about loving hate, but there is something contradictory about hating in a loving way.

Sorry mate, "loving hate" (in the context you describe) certainly is an oxymoron. My post was in reference to the original question put by Jason (and subsequent answers). This wasn't at all clear because I didn't quote anything, and I apologise for that.

My favourite oxymorons, which form a contrasting pair, are AWFULLY PRETTY, and PRETTY AWFUL.
