I happened to notice today that if you take all the letters of one of the rounds and the first letter from the next round there is a 10 letter word available. See if anyone "fancies" chewing on that one.

SUPERACIDS!
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

FRANCHISED was what I had in mind. SUPERACID being before a numbers round. I put "fancies" to hint which round.

I left another little game in the review..

From the letters of R11: S B T C E I O L P replace any letter of your choice with A and there are 8's available, but not 9's. I recall going "pick-a-vowel" during the round realising an A would leave SOCIABLE but it turns out most other vowels don't really help. Ah well.
