Spoilers For Thursday November 25th 2010

Post by James Robinson »

So, welcome one and all to RASPILLED Day, named in honour of my nemesis, Mr. McCurdie, whose birthday it is today, as you might have seen on the front page.

But there is something much more important today. No, not what colour is Gino's watch going to be, but whether we will have our 7th octochamp of this series. 8-)

Interestingly, the 8th shows of the previous 8 7-timers from this series, follow an interesting pattern:

Scott Gillies - WON
Tom Rowell - WON
Peter Godwin - LOST
Daniel Pati - WON
Eoin Monaghan - WON
Michael Chadwick - LOST
Jack Hurst - WON
Marcus Hares - WON
Niall Young - ?

Will Niall follow the pattern, or break the curse and reach octochampdom :?:

Although, he'll probably care more about reaching the finals, and even if he loses today, a score above 69 will guarantee his place in the finals, which start in just TWO WEEKS TIME. ;) :) :D  8-) (Oooooooooh, the excitement.)

Join me for the Robinson Recap later, and make sure you don't get RASPILLED.

(50+5)*4*4+8-5=883 for the second numbers.

Edit - just beat me to it, Liam

I think you are a round out. Round 2 was RETAINS+R!

Also RELIANT R3 and possible LATTENS R4 (my dictionary doesn't say mass noun).

I was also shocked that RR didn't get the numbers in time and the easy way.

nope

And fwiw Tony, I don't think that numbers game was easy. Rated as 74% (difficult) on crosswordtools.com

Have just caught up on this - what a great contest! A shame to see Niall pipped at the post, but good to know he'll be in the finals.
