A new week is here in the Spoiler thread, and we have a possible octochamp crowning ceremony tomorrow as Daniel Pati is just 2 shows away from octochampdom.

Can he get over the finish line and topple Scott Gillies off the number 1 spot :?:

In DC this week, for his 11th stint in the corner, is journalist, newsreader, and more importantly, former host of Police, Camera, Action, Alastair Stewart.

Ryan will be around later with the recap. ;) :) :D

Whoa, there's an octochamp crowning ceremony? Why don't they televise that?

Oh. I had a wrong image of you then when I saw this part of the show. I pictured you sat in a leather armchair drinking port and then turning to your friend and saying in disgust "how on earth did they not get that, Tarquin?" to which Tarquin replied "I guess some people are not as clever as we are, Adam." You then said "I pity the fool" (but I just made that last bit up to amuse myself).

All true. Tarquin and I had a good laugh about that. Now where did I put my port?

Continuity guy at the end of Perfect Recall:

"1 from the top and 4 from the bottom next, it's countdown."

He's obviously more obsessed with Deal or No Deal - "A new week and a new walk of wealth in 45 minutes, after Countdown."

Oh well.

GEODETIC as a beater in round 2 and SUBSOIL as a beater in one round. I was playing darts at the same time so this is from memory.

WASTAGE as an equaller in round 6, SPOORED (which Daniel got another day) as an equller in round 12.

Very impressive solve in round 14 as well by Daniel. ;) :) :D  8-)

Hopefully octochampdom is more or less guaranteed now.

Somehow I missed this one as well. Started with 9*100 + 9, then wondered how to get a three out of two sixes, then tried to overcomplicate things further.

Still, I beat Daniel... I had 910. :-)

I liked him too. And he laughed a lot at Susie's "knorks" which was cool.
