Second number alternatives :
5 + 8 = 13
6 + 2 + 1 = 9
9 * 13 = 117
117 + 50 = 167
Martin
5 + 8 = 13
6 + 2 + 1 = 9
9 * 13 = 117
117 + 50 = 167

If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

Hiyo,
R14 alternative, seemed the more natural way to go.
(25-4) x ( 7 x 2 + 1 )
R5 in a novelty way...
( 75 x 10 ) / 5 = 150 - 6 + 1
The corner was certainly on top form today.

Did they get SEMITONAL? Is it a word?
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

I rather liked round 13, when Carol announced the first two letters with a seemingly deliberate "S and M".
It made my concentration lapse a little, with the result that round 13 was the only round in this game in which I was beaten by both of the contestants.
