Spoilers for Thursday 22nd May
Since the first show of the series I have held on for dear life in the top 8 of the Countdown series leaderboard. However, will the returning 3 times champion Carl Dundas (a past contestant already) cruelly knock me off the leaderboard today after months of struggle!? Only time will tell...

Re: Spoilers for Thursday 22nd May
bit of a shocker
7*75 = 525
(100+50)/25 = 6
525+6/2 = 528
7*75 = 525
(100+50)/25 = 6
525+6/2 = 528

If you looked at the board it was: 75 50 100 25 2 7jasoncullen wrote:i did the exact same. Absolutely shocking from Carol
if you see that 75 x 7 = 525, if you remove them, you are left with the numbers in order, to get the 3: ((50 + 100) / 25) / 2 .

Re: Spoilers for Thursday 22nd May
Hmm he bottled those numbers somewhat, can happen to anyone tho.
I went 10*75 = 750, (50+6)/4 = 14
750 + 14 + 7 = 771.

My 8 year old brother did a Hansford. He beat me on the conundrum getting it in under a second. Then again normally he just reads it out so he probably just read LINGTHING as LIGHTNING.

Re: Spoilers for Thursday 22nd May
That conundrum was poorly mixed up. Made me think of that psychological thing whereby you can read jumbled words as long as their first and last letters are in place.
My only contribution to the forum in a long time and it turns out to be criticism. A true C4Countdown attitude, I think...

Re: Spoilers for Thursday 22nd May
Its all relative to the size of the word though, isn't it?
A four or five letter word can easily be unscrambled: SRUE NVEER BNIRG TAOTL etc as you only have a few permutations of the middle letters.
but do this to a big word: UTLCRAETANCHLARCISIY and its a lot harder.

But even some of the longer words can be UNCHARACTERISTICALLY easy .dinos_the_chemist wrote:Its all relative to the size of the word though, isn't it?
