ZODIACS as an equaller (I think it can be pluralized).

OPTIMAL in round 8...thought DC would be on that one. Dunno what's going on with Peter at the moment, he's missing easy stuff left, right and centre.

Oh - PETIOLAR, Dinos, from PETIOLE. No PETIOLA ,I'm afraid.

AIRDROME hasn't been mentioned either. To be honest, it was a very strange game. It started with a nine, then went horribly wrong as Peter offered a five when a nine was there, a four when there were at least two sevens and numerous sixes and then another six when there was a nine plus various sevens (POINTER, REPOINT, PROTEIN, POLITER, RETINOL etc). Really odd to be honest, it was as if he was having an attack of nerves or something like that.

If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

In fairness they had that as well, but well spotted anyway.

No UPFORCE in round 4? Downforce was a recent conundrum, can't it have an opposite?
And what was the verdict on ZODIACS, as I risked that also (despite having spotted DISCOED on Friday, I missed it today. The Z always distracts me!)

ZODIACS seems to be fine but no UPFORCE - I can see why you'd go for that, but not every word starting in DOWN- can also be UP- and visa versa.

Isn't downforce something to do with gravity ergo you cannot have an upforce^?

Oh well, I'll settle for 1 disallowed word, and a score of 139.
BTW, there was no round where BARONET was available, you may have the wrong letters for round 7 Ben. FORBEAR may be allowable though.

No, I don't think SARNIES was mentioned. Not sure if I would have offered it had I been on as I'm the cautious type but found it in the dictionary so I'll know for future reference.

I have a tendancy to come up with words that don't exist . I was very doubtful of ZODIACS but have found out its allowed, so maybe I am getting better :D.

Interesting there are three nines in that round, INTERLOPE, INTERPOLE and REPLETION, but only one 8, which is LEPORINE. I suspect this might be the only selection of nine letters with this property.

Close, but not quite... METRONOME, MONOMETER, MONOTREME has MOTORMEN as the only eight.

Just watched the programme, and got SARNIES and ZODIACS. I was actually eating sarnies while watching the programme. Certainly ZODIAC can be pluralized. It's not mentioned as being a mass noun, and certainly the second definition in the ODEr lends itself to pluralization.
