Jesus that was a good game. Craig as usual was unreal on the numbers, probably the best player ever (or at least, that I've seen). No reason to think he can't beat the#1 seed.

BTW on the decrees round, did he ask for a consonant when Rachel gave the the final 'U'? If so, I misheard.
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

Haha nice.

Craig was awesome today I thought, especially on the numbers. I was in the studio and just watched it again and still didn't get 119 and 709. Fantastic stuff.

Yep, Rachel pulled a U out of the consonants box and continued as if nothing had happened.

Well played lads, very enjoyable game to watch. Great numbers rounds by Craig once again. 8-)

A pity Craig has to play Oliver in the semis, this could well have been the final, I'm most looking forward to this particular game. Can Craig's numbers rounds give him the edge over Oliver's letters rounds??? Gonna be a good one, I can't wait. :)

Hi there

In the last word round, there was a U in the consonant pile so having picked out 8 letters including 3 Es and an O, the contestants had 5 vowels instead of 4. Engrossing as the contest was, it should have been spotted before it went on air.
Regards.

Why? It was spotted by me in the audience and I'm sure a few others but I guess they didn't want to stop the flow and carried on with it? It's happened before too.

Like Kirk said, It's happened before, and five vowels is still within the rules. If there had been six vowels out then I imagine the round would have to be retaken with a new selection.

Phenomenal again, Craig. 8-) ;) :) :D

I only just managed to get 119 and 924, but was never going to get 709 the way you did it.

The semi tomorrow between you and Oliver will be some spectacle, I'm sure.

And at least you've kept your promise of letting me do another recap of one of your games, after making me miss the chance to do your octochamp game.

GIRASOLE in round 7.

If Craig is in the challengers chair against Ollie,he will have an excellent chance of making the final.

I know it has been mentioned somewhere before, but is this shit random or what? toss of a coin?

When I did my first show (there were 2 new challengers), it was the straight toss of the coin, and the winner chose which seat they wanted to go in.

Realistically, for Craig to win today, he'll have to hope there are lots of flat letters rounds, because even though his letters game has improved a bit, Oliver's is still much better, and he'd be more likely to spot the harder words, and he'll have to hope that there are some tricky numbers games, like on yesterday's show.

Plus, he'll have to avoid a crucial conundrum too, because I could see Oliver taking that too.

I messed up on 924 but got the others. I did 119 a different way though.

Craig was my punt for the win in the other thread on it. I haven't seen the semi yet but I expect a good game from these two.
