I think they said this one .Matt Coates wrote:RECANTED as an equaller
I thought when Carole said 7 and then 8, I thought it would've been classed as a misdeclare and therefore not allowed the points.

ENLISTER too?
EDIT: If a vowel was picked at the end though, it would've been an 'A' and then you would've had TREENAILS .

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 15th April
I was impressed that the contestant got GATEPOST, I got it too but only because I missed it very recently on Corral. I missed ADOPTION/OPTIONAL though so i am currently contemplating suicide methods: do I take this game too seriously or not seriously enough?!

If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 15th April
((100X(9+1))=1000 + (8X5)=1040, 1040/2 = 520, as a nice equaller
or 8X2=16+10 = 26, 26 X 100 = 2600, 2600/5 = 520
or 8X2=16+10 = 26, 26 X 100 = 2600, 2600/5 = 520

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 15th April
It is getting tedious isn't it? My favourite guests are the ones that tend to turn the game into a farce (Zenon), but anyone could make up some unimaginative compound word given, say, 30 seconds and the vocabulary of an 8 year old. Jon Stitcher used to do it in every online game, which was pretty annoying, and his were actually funny.Michael Wallace wrote:No, Jo Brand was too busy being not funny.Joseph Bolas wrote:Did they say MOANERS?
For a completely unnecessary fourth solution in round 10, you could also do (100/2-9-1)x(8+5).

Did anyone else have trouble watching that today? For me, by the 3rd half it was very pixelated and it was lagging too.

You don't need to tell us when you're joking, this isn't the Americanized Countdown forum (moderated by Tex Ritter.)Martin Gardner wrote:Spencer? Joke.David O'Donnell wrote:I missed the challenger's surname again, Diana x? Anybody know please?

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 15th April
I thought that was going to go to the wire, bit disappointed we didn't get a crucial conundrum. Nice to see 2 ladies facing off - I can't remember the last time that happened. I love Jo Brand's "words" - wish she could have been on my shows!

I took the time in a few rounds to try and anticipate Jo Brand's "words". Successfully, too.
I don't find them particularly amusing anymore though. At all
