Doesn't look like it, Bryan. Am I the only one who was trailing 0-18 to Des O'Connor after round one?

Nope, I didn't see that 9 either, but very well done to Des for spotting it.David O'Donnell wrote:Doesn't look like it, Bryan. Am I the only one who was trailing 0-18 to Des O'Connor after round one?

No, I failed to see it as well. I was stuck on "sputters"David O'Donnell wrote:Doesn't look like it, Bryan. Am I the only one who was trailing 0-18 to Des O'Connor after round one?
I saw the letters for "upstreet", and wasn't able to make the connection to the word Des got.

Yeah, I didn't see it. I doubt I'd have risked it anyway even if I'd seen it.David O'Donnell wrote:Doesn't look like it, Bryan. Am I the only one who was trailing 0-18 to Des O'Connor after round one?

Both CORPUS and PODIUMS seem to be fine, I had PODIUMS and probably would have risked it.

yeah, I was wondering about PODIUMS - surprised Susie didn't check (you'd've expected Des O' to ask, too)

FILANDER (8) in round 9 and UNWAGED (7) in round 11
Re: Spoilers for Thursday, 28th February
It's actually PHILANDER.jasoncullen wrote:FILANDER (8)

I doubt very much that Des actually got it, if that makes you feel any better....David O'Donnell wrote:Doesn't look like it, Bryan. Am I the only one who was trailing 0-18 to Des O'Connor after round one?
You can imagine the disdain in his voice if a contestant offered it - "UPSETTERS? Is that in? I've never heard that word used". Susie never even bothered to check it either.

Maybe so. But is your dictionary the ODE2r? Cause thats the only one that counts. This flurry of illegal words is infuriatingjasoncullen wrote:not in my dictionary ben pugh! its got an alternative meaning. please check it
