I recognised 988 as 76*13 straight away and I'm not even Peter Mabey, so I was surprised that Rachel didn't get that numbers in the time, or get it a standard method way out of the time.
(7*10+6) * (3+8+2) = 988
or
(6+7) * 2 * (3*10+8) = 988
By the way, there's been lots of discussion over the years about whether 100 is a valid target or not. The standard (method) assumption is that it used to be but isn't any more. Well, as of 30th September 2020, it is.
