A win with at least 60 points puts him top seed, which surely must be doable. He needs 49 points for seed 2 and 30 for seed 3. Should he lose, 41 points puts him at seed 5, else he'll stay in 6th. Let's go

This series must be approaching the record for greatest number of people who have been provisionally ranked #1 seed, though I suspect Series 21 is still tops (see the factoid on the page).

This series is currently tying series 21 with 9 provisional #1s (due to having 2 currently unseeded players first, then the current top 7 in reverse order, whereas series 21 had 1 unseeded player, followed by the final top 8 in reverse order). So either no octochamp will have scored over 800 for the first time since series 67, or this series will have at least 10 provisional #1s.

Note that a series that started with a run of 1 or 2 game winners may have done higher, due to the potential for rapid #1 replacements, but that would require effort to find.

Edit: As it's Friday, I decided to have a look, and it seems this and 21 are indeed the record holders.

Leotard turned up for the second time this week but no mention from DC, is it forbidden as it harks back to the old days of Richard and Carol perhaps?
