I’m feeling for this guy. He seems better than the average player.

was toying with TRIPODAL in that round - think you can even see me mouthing it to myself.

Nowhere near any of the 8s in the hapless round though.

Awful conundrum. Not really the level for a heat game. Not a word anyone's actually heard of. Unless you're a series champion sitting in the audience.

But yeah, another very good game from Zarte. And the challenger was pretty decent. Didn't look "too old" for half marathons though. Too lazy more like!

Agreed on this point. This should have been used in the Finals...just like GELIGNITE last year...

How on Earth does Countdown predict such a phenomenon like today in the second TTT about four months back? This is unbelievable!

Keith was a good player, and a lovely bloke.

Anchoveta? Someone really didn’t want Zarte breaking any records...

Still, it was nice to see the S69 reunion with Mr Todd getting it. No-one’s Hasfording that one off you, Callum!

Aye, how much did Dylan pay Damian for that one!

No competition between me and Zarte, though was happy to be ahead after getting TOROIDAL, yet to be caught ahead after missing 443. The competition between me and Keith was more alive, who proved to be better than your average player as mentioned above, and I only managed to get past the 10 point mark necessary on the final letters, after being behind for a few rounds... :)

Another enjoyable game (the snow should come ore often so I can actually watch the show)

I also felt really sorry for the challenger - seemed like a very good player but just came on the wrong day.

And that conundrum...up there with Robin's inglenook no less!

It was worse than Robin's inglenook imo! :)

Cmon though, if you're having to go to Susie to find out what a conundrum means...it's too hard for a preliminary.

Dylan T solved just 4 conundrums from Heat 1 through to the final - he also got some toughies. All is fair.

Well, I do think that giving someone a harder conundrum because they're known to be good is a bit harsh. Not that one conundrum is much of a sample to go on of course. Could have been coincidence.
