An invalid con as LIMBERING has the anagram RELIMBING https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/relimb

PALUDINE in the UNPAID/VALUED round, which I stupidly risked without the E on the end.
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

Can anyone explain to me why ROMANITE and TIMEOUT are allowed? Because ROMANITE has a capital R and TIMEOUT is two separate words.

ROMANITE is under RUMANITE https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/rumanite

While not visible in the free ODO, TIMEOUT should appear as one word for definition 1.1 and 2 in premium.

I considered this strongly but bottled it to be honest.

Gonna mention that my dad found RHEOSTAT before me, which is an impressive spot for someone who doesn't practise at all save watching the show in an evening. He's getting slowly better day by day....

The free dictionary is not really the best source to check dodgy words. I'd just stick to apterous as a source in future ;)

Close game between the contestants today, with Shelagh giving Jacob a very close run for his money. Did feel for her a bit, due to the fact that she was a returning contestant trying to earn a teapot, which she missed out on against Peter Thurlow in 2002, however, I got my mojo back generally today, and was satisfied with my performance.
My scores:
Me:110-53 (Jacob)
Me:110-56 (Shelagh)

Ok, cheers Ray. :)

Jacob must win the dubious prize of taking the longest ever time between buzzing and actually saying what he thought the answer to the conundrum was!

Yep, wasn't far off. Every vowel except a third E would have given a 9, and the lack thereof cost me a century.

Also, when Susie says "I think there might be an X...I'll have another look" does she ever actually do this or is it just to save face at the fact there might be an obvious word she's missed? I've never seen them pan back to her.
