Spoilers for Thursday 26 October 2017 (Series 77, Prelim 82)

Post by Johnny Canuck »

Does anyone have confirmation (e.g., via subtitles) of James' word in the LOTTERY/TOILETRY round? I heard it pretty clearly as LITTERS but it could have been LOITERS.
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

Would have had a close game with James today. Had he not made a cock-up on the final numbers game, then he would have clinched it. I (yet again) take back another statement of how successful I think a contestant will be, as am probably unsuitable for predicting such success:). I think it's pretty certain that we'll be seeing him in the finals, whatever happens tomorrow.
My scores today:
Me: 85-81 (James)
Me: 95-55(Mary).

I had FRACTILE in round 5, after my cock-up with factorial the other day I am more confident of this one!

Why not?

A fractile is the cut off point for a certain fraction of a sample. If your distribution is known, then the fractile is just the cut-off point where the distribution reaches a certain probability.

Doesn't appear to be on apterous, which is my guide. Perhaps it's just not in wide enough usage?
