Probably a record for me, getting 90 points by 2nd advert break! Also, playing against Lawrie, I would have got 136 in total!

Think that game had the lowest combined score this series so far.

What do you use to check your words when you play along? The site I thought we used either has the word, says there is no match, or just defaults to another (close) word. In the last case I never know if the word is valid or not.

I use Lexplorer, but you can only use it if you are a member on the site "Apterous". Alternatively,
http://incoherency.co.uk/countdown/ is a quick one which I may use in the break but doesn't have the full dictionary, so you may type the word in and it won't come up on there, but could actually be in. Hope this helps.

I'm on Apterous so ok then, I can use that. Fsr I thought it was different to the dictionary used on the programme. Thanks Tom.

I was really disappointed when Lexplorer was removed from public use. I haven't got time to play on Apterous but enjoy playing along and watching what goes on on here.
