Nick has just announced that there will be no Countdown tomorrow due to Formula 1 racing. Is this a sudden schedule change? There's an episode listed for tomorrow on the wiki guide.

Was probably planned, but the schedule was put up months ago and before we were shunted to 2.10, so whoever didit probably assumed the F1 wouldn't affect the schedule

So does this mean that the series is shortened to 101 preliminaries (it was 102 before), or will there be a make-up episode to bring it back to 102? There's also a planned cancellation on Friday 9 December from what I can see and I'm wondering whether that episode will be reintroduced or remain cancelled.
I'm trying to work out whether I need to change all the episode numbers for the finals episodes; for instance, the grand final would be #6492 instead of #6493.

Has probably been confirmed elsewhere, but you (and the Wiki now) are correct - the QFs start 15/12/16, and no episode 9/12/16 (due to horsies).
