Spoilers for Bank Holiday Monday 2 May 2016 (Series 74 Prelim 64)
During this upcoming week, Countdown will be reduced to only two programmes. One guess why. Anyway, these programmes also have the potential to be the last two in Dave Costello's octochamp run -- that is, if Thomas Wade can't stop him on Tuesday, nor can Monday's challenger either.
Join Monday's recap writer (Sean F, I believe?) later "today" for the lowdown.

I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

Not in according to Lex I'm afraid. Of course, Lex says PETTIES is in, so what the frak do the Apterites know?Steven M. McCann wrote:PESTIEST as a beater in the PUTTIES round.
A few beaters today. Only an incredibly obscure beater in the SCORNS/CROWNS round stopped this from being the new game with the joint lowest max ever. Also a nice 6 in the POUR round, which I got.

Darn, I was looking forward to starting the thread for Thursday 5th of May, which like 5 years ago is voting day.
We will have to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the BARNES-stormer game next Tuesday instead.
PROLIX a beater in R11 and I think there is one in R5 too.

Good spoiler. Even Tony Atkins says what the words are when he gets them, so you're lifting these spoiler threads to new heights!Johnny Canuck wrote:Also a nice 6 in the POUR round, which I got.

I just think it's a bit pointless in a spoilers thread to avoid spoilers.Johnny Canuck wrote:Don't like that? K. Duly noted.Gavin Chipper wrote:Good spoiler. I thought I was good at Countdown until I joined this forum
