Spoilers For Monday March 3rd 2014

Post by James Robinson »

So, we now march into March, finally with an octochamp in the bag in the form of Andy Naylor, even though our own Martin Thompson, was literally a second (or a possible Hansford) away from stopping that :!: :!:

So, today we have 2 new contestants in the chairs. Will either of them emulate Andy :?: :?:

Gloria Hunniford is back in DC for her 10th stint this week.

Join Andy for his recap later on. ;) :) :D  8-)

Yeah, would've been well nice, and we'd have had a 9 the letters round before if Sean went for the vowel to bring out the E for RANDOMISE/ROMANISED........

1st Numbers Alt.: (((8 x 3) - 7) x 50) - (5 - 1) = 846
2nd Numbers Alt.: (100 x 8) - ((10 - 1) x (3 + 2)) = 755
3rd Numbers Alt.: ((100 - (50 / 25)) x 4) - 7 = 385

Might have been easier for the contestants to answer the number of spoonfuls they have of sugar a day if they'd known what size spoon, Dr. Hunniford! And just as I thought I was being healthy with eating so many grapes. Oh well - that should save some money then!

Yeah, that whole segment irked me. I hate those kind of "go on, have a guess" interactions where you don't actually care what the guesses are and, as you say, you weren't given enough information anyway. Plus I was only really half listening but what I did hear sounded like fad-of-the-moment type advice anyway which several medical professionals would probably disagree with, if not now, then next week when some other study is done.

There was a Horizon on fat v sugar recently, and one thing it definitely didn't conclude is that sugar is the new evil.
