Countdown - Tips and Tricks

As a relative number of Newbies, Rookies and Acolytes (including me) are going to COLEIII, are there any Countdown tips and tricks, besides apterous.org, of which I don't have to pay to visit?
The forum's resident JAILBAKER, who has SPONDERED several times...

Beat me to it! Also http://wiki.apterous.org/Fruitful_7s but it's probably in that thread. If you use the search bar I think there's more similar threads as well.
