When will he ever learn?

Post by Wil Ransome »

When will Des ever learn how to subtract 20? Today before the last numbers game he said, when the losing contestant was 21 points behind and so had no chance of winning, that the numbers game was really important. And then after the numbers game, when both players scored 10 points, he said that that had decided things in favour of the winning contestant. Can't the intricacies of it all be explained to him? Or is it felt that his numerical incompetence is rather charming?

You're not calling Des a vegetable, I hope.

His job is to sell the show, and after all wouldn't you like to go home saying you'd only lost by 1 point? I see no harm in it.

If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

Are you suggesting it's intentional rather than mathematical ineptitude?
