Supreme Championship 2

Someone on the internet has predicted (not particularly accurately IMHO) what would happen in a Supreme Championship (Series 34-61)

I actually thought of an idea of a Supreme Championship 2, but with Damian seeming reluctant to do CoC XIV at the moment, I seriously doubt we'll have a Supreme Championship 2. It does seem a nice thought though.

Although, whoever this guy is, he seems to have thought this through quite a bit, but I think a lot of people on here might not necessarily agree with the results.

I lost to somebody I've never heard of, after beating somebody I've never heard of. Probably pretty accurate.

My run's a bit fucking generous! Can't see me beating either my first or third opponents quite so easily.

A player who amused many viewers despite his problematic mental illness, versus Jeffrey Hansford. Yep, I'd watch that.

I'm not sure if this is sarcastic or what, but I have no idea who he is. That's not meant to be disrespectful, I just didn't really start watching Countdown regularly until Des Lynam took over. I only know about guys like Julian Fell because my dad told me.

How? I still hadn't heard of him. I haven't heard of him anymore after reading that link than I did by seeing his name paired up with mine in the Supreme Championship in the first place.

Ha! No sarcasm intended, I haven't a clue and haven't read his wiki page yet. I also only started watching Countdown when Des Lynam was host so as such never remember any editions with Richard Whiteley.

Seems like it was this guy: http://wiki.apterous.org/User:JohnnyCanuck

He also has far too much time on his hands: This includes every fictional game and fictional word in the future. To think someone actually spent time making some rounds up and scores etc....

There's another guy doing the same thing, except it's with F1 drivers. He goes by the name of The Doctor - I could find a link if anyone wants. In fact JohnnyCanuck admitted to getting the idea of this fictional US series from The Doctor's F1 series.
My first thoughts revolved around Larsen too.

When I first read Howard's post further up, I assumed he meant somebody (completely away from apterous/wiki) fabricating (or 'predicting') future F1 races/seasons, which I could sort of see people bothering to spend the time doing if they're into the sport. At no point did my brain consider that it might have been someone fabricating episodes of Countdown between F1 drivers.

Utterly bizarre, but also strangely charming, especially the way the episodes have a story line (there's a real twist near the end!!) as well meticulously detailed game recaps, complete with invalid conundrums.

Just come across this thread and I gotta say its hilarious. Who's designed this? must be Gevin surely? Love to see SC2 but resigned to the fact its highly unlikely. Presumably the seedings are done by Octochamp aggregates and converted 9 round aggregates.

Pete Cashmore was just before my time but heard of him, I probably would have beaten him when at my peak. That said I'd never have beaten Craig when at my best. I started watching in 1998 and Terry Knowles was the first Octochamp I remember seeing - I know he was really high scoring and think at the time had the second highest aggregate over 8 games.

Seriously though, brilliant stuff - does anyone want to enlighten me why there's a reluctance over another C of C? and what could and would replace it??

Watching a bunch of 20-something males take it very seriously (e.g. by refusing to make a SEAMAN joke) for three weeks just doesn't please the masses, supposedly.

After having to set 21 conundrums for a 49-round game, you'd probably go off in a huff too.
