Cheltenham racing cancelled

Post by Howard Somerset »

Since Countdown was cancelled so that Cheltenham racing can be shown, now that the racing has been called off today what's the chances of getting some old Countdown highlights at 3:25 this afternoon?

yep, better than some shitty deal or no deal 'classic' where a bunch of slightly handicapped working class people 'really try their best' to randomly pick a number between 1 and 22 and then start crying because their probability logic is below that of a retarded slug.

What about Julians 146? Itd be good to see Richard again as well.
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

Just as a point of interest, in what class do you place yourself, Matthew?
My home is on the south side,
High up on a ridge,
Just a half a mile from
The Scarborough Valley bridge.

Its not all that bad. Sometimes to make things reeeeeeeeeeeally interesting they change the colour of the boxes.

Noel ate a banana once during the show as well. That was a particularly memorable episode.

A class above anybody who has appeared on or regularly watches Deal Or No Deal.

I believe it's a pun on the different meanings of "class". Such japery is probably beyond people of your class.

n. & v.
n.
any set of persons or things grouped together, or graded or differentiated from others esp. by quality (first class; economy class).
a a division or order of society (upper class; professional classes).
b a caste system, a system of social classes.
c (the classes) archaic the rich or educated.
colloq. distinction or high quality in appearance, behaviour, etc.; stylishness.
a a group of students or pupils taught together.
b the occasion when they meet.
c their course of instruction.
US all the college or school students of the same standing or graduating in a given year (the class of 1990).
(in conscripted armies) all the recruits of a given year (the 1950 class).
Brit. a division of candidates according to merit in an examination.
Biol. a grouping of organisms, the next major rank below a division or phylum.
v.tr. assign to a class or category

Just plodding my way through in my plebeian way, in the hope of eventually spotting the punning opportunity that is clearly so readily apparent to my intellectual betters.

I can also amuse myself by speculating on the grouping of organisms in which a slightly handicapped, working class Deal Or No Deal contestant would place Matthew.
