c4countdown
A group for contestants and lovers of the Channel 4 game show 'Countdown'
Not many of whom seem to actually watch the programme these days.
I'm usually a few days behind. So I've just watched the last three episodes, spotted a few potential beaters, plus Susie doing a magnificent simultaneous demure and foul-mouthed, massively bleeped out. Move to the spoilers threads. Nothing.
Is there anybody there?

We were all waiting for you to speak first.
Possibly the first contestant to accelerate with a mic clipped...

Re: Is there anybody there?
I think a lot of people don't watch it on the day, and unless a spoilers thread already exists, people are unlikely to start one several days after the event. Now that James Robinson and Jordan F don't regularly start threads, it's done on a rather haphazard basis.

Also this. Who do you think is responsible for making these threads, David?

Re: Is there anybody there?
Not making any accusations! Just that in the past, indeed not all that long ago, by the time I got around to watching a programme there was always a spoiler thread, anything I'd seen worthy of comment had already been said, and usually a few other things as well. Starting a spoiler thread days after the event is pretty pointless. If no-one's said it by then, presumably no-one cares.

Re: Is there anybody there?
I very rarely watch the show now, unless someone I know is on. I like to watch with someone else, but the Apterous viewing room often has people who want to shout stuff out instantly, and I prefer to muse for 30s, and there's no-one at home to watch with.

Since it's moved to 2.10 again I'm mostly unable to watch nowadays. (I +1'd it when it was at 3.10 before someone tries to make a smart comment)
Definitely not Jamie McNeill or Schrodinger's Cat....

I get up most weekdays at 6am, which is when the early morning repeat is shown, so it's a no-brainer, really.
