Just tuned in to Only Connect ten minutes in and the captain of the Cluesmiths was my QF conqueror (100-90 on the conundrum, still bitter ) from ten years ago, Richard Heald. Don't know if the team intro mentioned his Countdown exploits or not. Good to see him on another show and he and his two colleagues did very well, winning 27-20.

Nah, most programmes don't focus on the previous TV exploits of contestants - it would be a lot more obvious that there's a core of geeks that appear on everything within sight... (plus copyright/competition etc issues)
