Planet Rock (digital radio) plays a rock related quiz at 11.30 am. A minutes worth of rock related questions where the highest scorer of the week wins a Planet Rock anorak to wear at Rock gigs (consequently gets free beer). Today's winner with six questions right was Ian Volante. I'd hazard a guess it was the Ian Volante of Countdown and 15-1 fame!

But yeah that would be him. Well done Ian on yet another quiz! He's shortlisted to film for Weakest Link too as well as doing Radio 2's Popmaster earlier in the year. He's damn good (particularly on music) it would seem!

Actually, I tell a lie it wasn't the Quiz it was the 'connection'. From 9.00am Rob Birnie on Planet Rock plays eight songs all with a connection. All the listener has to do is spot the connection and the odd one out of the eight. Listeners are invited to text in, send emails or log on thru the website as to what it could be - the most common punt is that they are all to do with movies. Ian was the first to spot the connection and the odd one out! Nothing to do with movies today. You can always log on to the Planet Rock website and find today's show and listen for yourself or cheat and read the connection for yourself from the right webpage!
