Re: Codebreaker
Split the string into pairs of characters: B1 F2 A0 M5 H4 G2 C2 P2 B3 A0 G6 L7
For each pair (B1) simply move the letter (B) the number (1) spaces forward in the alphabet (C).
Nice puzzle.

If that's your genuine answer, then no. If you're trying to be a smart arse, still no.

Re: Codebreaker
Rather gratifying that no one's got this yet, so I'll offer up a little clue- it's a three-word phrase, and I've split the words accordingly. It is a 1-1 code in that every letter is represented by one character and there is a logical order to the characters- you just have to jump through a few hoops to get there.Ben Wilson wrote:Okay, got a new (harder) one for you. I think this original one is another code, which I shall try to solve at a later date.

Aha! There's only 3820 14-letter words to work through for the first word.Ben Wilson wrote:Rather gratifying that no one's got this yet, so I'll offer up a little clue- it's a three-word phrase, and I've split the words accordingly. I've never done these things before and clearly I've misunderstood when you said it was a one-to-one mapping between characters and letters.Ben Wilson wrote:Okay, got a new (harder) one for you. Identify the following phrase:

Re: Codebreaker
Yeah, I couldn't think of a more appropriate word than 'character' at the time but I think 'term' kinda covers it. And a 'term' can be one or two characters long.

I'm struggling to think of a less appropriate one tbf to Adam.Ben Wilson wrote:Yeah, I couldn't think of a more appropriate word than 'character' at the time
