Done gone done made a quiz

Post by Ben Wilson » Tue Nov 25, 2014 9:53 pm

Behold. 9 rounds covering 9 different topics (well, okay, 8 topics plus general knowledge). Feel free to have a go but don't post answers publicly- I'll be happy to verify anything privately.

7MB so may take a while on primitive connections.

Here's the extended edition director's cut with commentary and extra rounds. Here's the pdf especially for Gevin- http://www.nebagram.co.uk/quizxmas/quizdirectorscut.pdf - but that doesn't have either of the music files in it.

Edit: Also, as it's now after Christmas (well, near enough), there's no longer a moratorium on sharing answers/tips.

The 2016 edition of the quiz is in production as we speak. The basic version (which I completed last night) currently weighs in at 21 pages and the pdf is about 1.5MB. The extended version will be a bit longer and will contain audio files (which I'll probably just link to on YouTube). Then there'll be a director's cut, and an extended version of the director's cut. Some rounds might require card, scissors and glue.

The folder on my computer where I've saved all the raw data/research files for the quiz currently weighs in at 1.2 gigabytes. :D

And it's done. Illness has kept it from being as long or as mental as I would have hoped. But here it is anyway- http://nebagram.co.uk/2016QuizExtended.pdf or here- https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/60… ... tended.pdf -if the first link doesn't work. Enjoy. :-D

Looks like the sort of thing I didn't pay much attention to by the time I turned 40 (i.e. fifty years ago). :geek: ;)

Turns out it took me just about 11 months to finish it. And I only got it done with 26 hours to spare. But here it is! Enjoy, everyone. Someone. One person? Maybe? Please?

In case no one saw it on Facebook here's another one I made. Shorter in scope this time, it's 175 cryptic (ish) clues, the answers to all of which are TV shows.

It took me a moment to realise that if the programme's name begins with "A" or "The", you have to omit it. It would be better if you'd programmed it to accept it either with or without the article where applicable.
