A certain lady with a nickname

Post by Jason Larsen »

I just blocked the lady now known as Kerry Alcock on Apterous because she made an account earlier with her nickname of Ruby Firecracker. She can't have two accounts. Charlie, please ban her from there.

Just to respond to Jason's request to have me banned...

Jason is right, I joined Apterous in May 2011 under the name Ruby Firecracker.
This is a name I use on facebook, for my craft businesses and in my comics / artwork.
I played my trial games and didn't get a subscription.

I then got a place on Countdown and thought I would join Apterous to practise. This time I wanted to use my own name as I was going on the show.
This time I subscribed. I never pretended not to be Ruby Firecracker, and many people on the site are aware of this.
In fact, even when I went on Countdown, I spoke to Nick about my *alter ego*.

So I am not aiming to decieve anyone and I certainly have not played as Ruby Firecracker since joining under my own name. I don't see what the point would be in that.

Jason, I would have appreciated the chance to discuss this with you before you blocked me and tried to get me banned. Not everything is black and white.

If I am in the wrong, then I apologise.

Thanks.

Jason, it is surely OK if she uses just one at a time. If she used both as some kind of deception, that would not be nice, but she's just using the one, and changed name when she changed her mind about using her real name. I think we can allow it.
