1,602,787th

Post by Adam Gillard »

According to this page, apterous.org is 1,602,787th in the world wide web traffic rankings (or about 2,787th excluding porn sites). It's 75,310th in the UK - that's pretty good if you ask me. Also, if you look at the 1 month traffic rank, it's moved up to 1,314,135th. This site also makes an educated guess as to the general audience: "Based on internet averages, apterous.org is visited more frequently by males who are in the age range 35-44, have no children, are college educated and browse this site from home" (discuss). It only has 10 sites linking in, so I count myself lucky to have found it through one of them (The Countdown Page).

Some serious progress in the past half a year or so - apterous is now 730,277th in the global rankings and 27,231st in the UK rankings. Also, 2.79% of search engine traffic to apterous comes from the search "jeffrey burgin under 23", apparently!

Just noticed something else - that website claims that apterous is ranked 150th in Romford, which is astonishing.

Could be skewed by this?

Ah, cool. The high rank of 150th probably is skewed by that and based on a short time period where people have clicked through to apterous from that article.
