I've just noticed that my recent standard goatdown against Waldorf has broken the record for highest metamax.

I wonder whether I have also set the record for worst picking by one player? An actual max 137 out of a metamax 203 is only 67.5%, which has to be pretty shambolic when you consider there are 30 points from the numbers and conundrum. But when you take out Waldorf's contribution, it gets worse. In 5 of my 6 letters picks, there was a 9-letter word available with the correct selection of 9th letter. I only managed to pick an appropriate letter on one of those 5 occasions (and even then I missed UNCREATES)...

This is very notable.

1) I played awesome and beat the Hulmemeister.
2) round 12 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IizCCjl8Xrw)
3) lolz at the selection in round 6
4) even more funny that Andrew didn't get it

And because I like celebrating arbitrary milestones, this game is, according to the variant browser, the 10 000th game of Goatdown (in all it's forms) to be played on Apterous. :)

Hehe. I didn't even get a bar of soap :(

In tennis, an ace is when the ball isn't returned isn't it? I tried to whitewash Prune to hopefully pick up an ace of diamonds. I received nothing.

This isn't an apteroid game, but check Rds 2 and 3!

Also both contestants got a raw score of 109.

Ah yes!! I was on the Isle of Man on a prize holiday at the time watching this in a pub. We all shouted for a final consonant for an N for COUNTDOWN and he went vowel. The studio were all annoyed. The next consonant out was an N too. Annoying.

Like, dodgy quoting there. :|

But yeh, it obviously wasn't a coincidence, it must've been deliberate.

Your word in Round 4 sums up the game entirely.
