Inspired by this from the 'You Know You're Playing Too Much Apterous When...' (if there has been a similar thread already apologies-I couldn't find one)
You know you're playing too much if you get excited when you see an obscure word "in the wild".
What examples have you had of this? It was the only reason I knew what ADAGIO was whilst assisting in a Music class at work and whilst doing stuff on J.R Miller (a theologian) for church, discussion of UNREALITY and an UNREALIST came up-nearly jotted down RETINULAS by mistake
Anymore for anymore?

I think we've already got a catalogue of these going
here but good spots!

Q: What is the longest word in the world?
A: "Gigaparsecs", because there is a gigaparsec before the last S.

Don't forget that URLs without the www don't work properly on this forum (you keep getting logged out), so
this link is even better!

I've started studying Biology this year.
So many sequences of letters have become real-life words!
E.g. ____ZOANS, LIGATES, DENATURED, and many more

Just watching a lecture.
Lecturer says 'if you want to collect words for things like scrabble, then metabotype = ____'
Unfortunately it's invalid in both Countdown and Scrabble

That was your cue to take over the lecture and teach the lecturer a thing or two.
