Hypercountdown

Has DC ever got a 12? And why do they react when you get a nine even though it's not the maximum?

The chit-chat bits probably use the same script for every type of game, including 12 letter games.

Don't think anything has changed since I wrote this.

Edit: Actually it has; STRANGULATED and the first ever non-Goatdown 12, INSPECTORATE.

I don't think its the only one, I think that it's the first time that a 12 appeared in both formats.

I can't check this but I think I have had a 12-letter before, but not sure of the format.

Oddly enough with the dialogue, you get Jo Brand that says things like "we didn't get a nine this time, but we did get BOOMERANG" which is actually nine letters, so it's a very slight bug.
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

Just out of interest, what do you reckon the lowest max in a Hypercountdown letters round has been?

I'm sure there's been a round with a max of 6 in the past, and possibly a 5. Theoretically a max of 4 could quite easily be fixed with shite enough letters, dunno about a 3 though.

Why don't you do a custom game of 26 rounds of Hyper Letters Attack but with an Alphagoat theme (so you only use A-Z once as the 12th letter) and see what's the highest or lowest scores you could get there.

I think that would be called a Hyperalphagoatdown format game :P

Haven't had an alphaconundrum puzzle in ages, now I come to think of it. Hyperalphagoatconundrum puzzle would be even better. Snap to it, Cullen (or whoever it was who did it last time out).

You could just get the 26 words as usual and make the last letter (using every letter from A-Z) the same colour as the background of the message, so it is visible when you highlight it.

If someone can be arsed to make a txtspk dictionary, or give me an easy way to generate one (e.g. taking all the vowels out) then I'd happily add it.

Firstly, I wouldn't be amazing at it.
Secondly, most words of txtspeak are only 3/4 letters long so perhaps that wouldn't be such a good idea

We could just take normal (long) words and remove all the vowels.
