9 round contest

Post by Charlie Reams »

Everyone knows that Apterous's 9-round format is criminally underloved. My not-particular-good top score (82) is the longest standing of all the high scores (6 weeks and counting) and it's about time it got broken. So I've decided to appeal to the competitive spirit in order to bump it up a bit.

The contest is this. Whosoever shall have the highest 9-round score by midnight on Sunday 16 November 2008 will receive at least the following:
  • eternal respect from 9 round players everywhere
  • a super-awesome one-time-only custom item
  • and finally, a lifetime's supply of Jon Corby's underpants
The judge's decision is final, no cash alternative, etc.

Gentlemen, start your 9 rounding!

First blood to Kirk! I'm expecting 90+ by the end of the week.

I've just matched Kirk's score of 84 and I thought I was joint first with Kirk on this competition, only to find that Jono got 91 on Wednesday

Barely related, but on the topic of weaker records, Paul Howe's 150 from hyperconundrum attack is quite beatable- I hit 130 twice tonight, that 150 must go soon.
