Staying with the usual low bar of 'classic' around here:

2018-04-30 22:15:38 Ian Volante got it first. You have 0.0 seconds left.
2018-04-30 22:15:38 Time's up and Ian Volante was the only person to get it, solving it in 60.0 seconds and receiving 18 bonus points. The answer to RIPEMIL was IMPERIL.

I thought this was pretty funny as I've never seen it happen before.

Fans of a Yorkshire team in white may want to look away now

2018-08-08 13:27:08 Dylan Taylor says: But I would like some help with grammar here:
2018-08-08 13:27:11 Andy SC left the room.
2018-08-08 13:27:13 Andy SC entered the room!
2018-08-08 13:27:34 Keith Williams and Damian Banks missed a 9 from EUITDSING; can you spot it?
2018-08-08 13:27:37 Dylan Taylor says: Should it be "Leeds's victory" or "Leeds's victory"?
2018-08-08 13:27:44 Spike Guthrie says: neither imo
2018-08-08 13:27:53 Spike Guthrie says: it should be Leeds' victory
2018-08-08 13:27:55 Stephen R says: Neither, Leeds don't win anything
2018-08-08 13:27:57 Elliott Mellor says: haha
2018-08-08 13:28:04 Bradley Horrocks says: lolllllllll
2018-08-08 13:28:05 The 9 from EUITDSING was DISTINGUE!
2018-08-08 13:28:05 Elliott Mellor says: absolutely brilliant

2019-04-30 23:37:08 Matt Hamer: I once declared the word VADUZ (in German) whilst playing from a small town 4 km away from Vaduz.
2019-04-30 23:37:20 Jonathan Wynn: wow, that's a much better fact than mine haha
2019-04-30 23:37:23 Graeme Cole is playing today's Daily Duel.
2019-04-30 23:37:27 Paul James is playing a Classic Game against Shubeer Chaudhuri.
2019-04-30 23:37:31 Matt Hamer: Well, it's different, i guess
2019-04-30 23:37:40 Graeme Cole: That's nothing. I once declared the word READING while sitting right here in Reading.
2019-04-30 23:37:41 Andy SC: I've missed one Daily Duel to my knowledge.
2019-04-30 23:37:48 Jonathan Wynn: haha
2019-04-30 23:37:50 Matt Hamer: Good work GC
2019-04-30 23:38:08 Matt Hamer: I also once declared SHITHOLE whilst playing in Gravesend.

Made me chuckle.

The reaction to people finding out today's duel is Dutch Speed Stepdown Letters Attack was quite something.

Don't worry about it - everyone says some stuff that they don't mean or don't intend.

Hardly classic but made me chuckle

Joyce Phillips finished a classic game with Judith Young, winning 91-75.

Sorry, I didn’t know that. Did you receive the email I sent you regarding a subscription?.

Not my doing actually, I only set up two games, Andy created the mayhem!

But it may've been responsible for the bizarre duel today allowing me to pencil 'A' :D
