The first game of the Plate, played Sunday 6th July 2008. I'm the defending champion (if that even makes sense for a repechage competition) so obviously I felt massive pressure, or I would've done if I'd remembered that I was the defending champion before I started this sentence, which I feel has now gone on a little too long, so I'll end it here.

At least I wasn't the only reigning champion displaced by a muscly young upstart today.
Due to a slight scoring error, Jono was only given 6 points for AIRLOCK, so I thought I had a chance going into Round 14 (I think I have beaten Jono on 4 large maybe once or twice in all our hundreds of games.) But I didn't, so I'm even worse than I thought. Hooray!

Good game. Loving the 4 large. NANOBOT is probably worth remembering as it came up in my game against Daimyo.

This doesn't work - I just got really confused.Charlie Reams wrote:Round 10: 75, 100, 50, 25, 4, 7. Target: 811.

I've done it now though:

Couple of random observations: 114 must be the lowest max. score ever for a game in which all three numbers rounds are possible?
And the letters maxes for the first four rounds went 8, 7, 6, 5. I like that
