Post your MSN address here

Post by Dinos Sfyris »

Woo! I now have msn up and running. Is there a list of people's addresses anywhere on here so people can add them and play them? If there isn't can I suggest people put them here. I'll go first: My address is dinos at live dot co dot uk (mind the gaps) and I'm gonna wait up all night til someone plays me, dont mind hosting either. So add me NOW! :)

Mine is in my profile - click the Messenger icon under the avatar. I suggest other people set their profile appropriately, that's much easier than having a topic.

To those who were involved, thanks again for the mini-tourney last nite on msn. Really enjoyed even though at first I failed to grasp the rules! Sorry I had to dash but needed to put my brother back to bed. Really need to practice some more because I was rubbish (AXEING and RUINATE to name but a few) and to make things worse my PC was being really slow. Sometimes the selections and the stop command appeared at the same time! Looking forward to the next bout whenever that may be.

Even though I tend to stay away from participating in the online tournaments, there are sometimes I would still like to spectate so here is mine for anyone who may want to add me to MSN (if you don't have me already).

josephbolas at hotmail dot co dot uk

EDIT: Just realised I had put down .com when it's actually .co.uk I use .

Dinos is your name Syfris or Sfyris? Both of those are used on the Corral so I'm confused...

Hi

I'd thought I'd add mine for future tournaments which i would like to join in with but looking at the recaps the standard seems to be extremely high, it even puts most of the contestant on TV to shame. I know it is unlikely I would win any games (I would say I was on par with most losing contestants on TV) but it's just a bit of fun and I suppose it's the best way to improve :)

Also if anybody would like a friendly game that would be great too.

jimmygough3@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks:)

That's the spirit :) You should find we're a pretty friendly bunch, and not all of us are insanely good (well, I'm not, if you find yourself wanting to win just play me :P). And yeah, it's a great way to improve, nothing like practice and all that.

Mate, the standard of the players on here is light years ahead of the average standard on TV - if it's any consolation, I find the level on the forum pretty daunting, and I'm not too bad at the game myself.

I'm glad you're not completely put off by it though - like Michael says, there are some players who aren't quite so good (although Michael's not one of them, he's a demon on the numbers  ), and like you say, it's great practice to play people on here; the good thing is that if/when you do go on TV afterwards, the standard of opposition there should seem easy by comparison.

Edit to say: and remember that the reason people on the forum are so good at the game is that we have no life :)

mgcountdown@htomail.fr (note the deliberate typo)

I was surfing on the French MSN at the time hence the French address. In a similar way, I uploaded a photo of myself to Wikimedia Commons (a sister project of Wikipedia) and someone wrote and English version of the text - "Wikipedian Mglovesfun from France". I can understand why he/she wrote that, but all the same, I could have been from Belgium of Switzerland. So I changed it back myself.

EDIT: My MSN is now in my profile. Although I didn't like looking in there as it reminded me of that epic probability thread I foolishly started.

PLEASE don't email on this address, it is strictly a spam repository, but people here still send me the occasional email which subsequently gets ignored for weeks.

That was a great thread, we need more like that. The off-topic board has gone eerily quiet of late. We should make sure there's plenty of great stuff in preparation for the influx of noobs following Charlie's plug on the show...

MSN no longer exists, according to some email I got last week. Seems like the end of an era and probably a good time to unsticky the thread.
