I've updated the rankings again. James Laverty has improved from 19:27 to 19:26 since the last update, and I've added Jack Worsley.

Right, I'm going to put up a ranking list of Countdown/Apterous parkrunners. I'll check it every so often to see if anyone's beaten their PB, and if anyone is really insistent that they don't want to be on the list, then I can remove their name. And if I've forgotten anyone, let me know and I can add them. This list is unlikely to be anywhere near exhaustive.

1. Oliver Garner - 17:04
2. Jonathan Rawlinson - 17:41
3. Tim Down - 17:45
4. Matt Bayfield - 17:56
5. Gevin Chapwell - 18:22
6. Tim Springett - 18:32
7. James Bradley - 19:04
8. James Laverty - 19:26
9. Conrad Teixeira - 20:07
10. Adam Gillard - 20:18
11. Giles Hutchings - 20:19
12. Tom Hargreaves - 20:20
13. Michael Springett - 20:36
14. Ryan Taylor - 20:39
15. Dave Nicholson - 20:50
16. Adam Curran - 21:14
17. Kirk Bevins - 21:58
=. Jon Corby - 21:58
19. Ian Volante - 22:01
20. Richard Brittain - 22:55
21. Jon O'Neill - 24:10
22. Dave Ryan - 24:48
23. Stephen Read - 26:17
24. Lauren Hamer - 26:30
25. Zubair Patel - 26:54

It probably belongs in the 'Really obvious things that you've only just realised' thread, but there's all these people who run past where I live when I'm out for my run on a Saturday morning. They stand around in a car-park for a quarter of an hour, then they do exactly the same course every week no matter what the weather's like. It doesn't look like any sort of race, as only a handful of them are decent runners, and I just thought it was some fairly pointless local health initiative. It was only when I happened to look at the parkrun thread it dawned on me what was going on. And no, I've never done one, and I don't expect to break 45 minutes for 10K ever again.

[I think you told me which one it was but I've forgotten. Good luck with it, anyway. Also, I'd definitely recommend joining a running club.
It's the Chelmsford marathon. Not exactly a big event, but I think it's a fast enough course, and I'm aiming for under 3 hours.
I got 3:09:16 in the end. It was going well for most of it, but the last three miles killed me. I was on for under 3 hours for more than 22 miles though. It was also very windy because of storm Brian. Still, I've got London to make up for it.

David Williams now added. Interestingly his age-graded score (76.22%) is higher than Oliver Garner's (75.59%). Although you can debate the relevance of these scores as much as you like.
