This thread gives me the impression that the audition selections are carefully chosen to offer obvious 9-letter words that will nonetheless be disallowed. Is that true? It seems quite common for new contestants to have difficulty with the interface, particularly for the numbers game. Does nobody bother to explain it to them?

I'm afraid it never occurred to me that anybody would not yet have seen the show. I don't have any of the modern options for deferred watching. And I'm the only person in world with a PC without a sound card: it saves an awful lot of YouTubing time, but it does detract from the benefits of Podcasts....

Now I'm confused. I said "I joined ... after watching ...". It was a week ago - how does that get to be a spoiler?
