Re: What if Americans had approved of a Countdown pilot?
If Americans had approved of the Countdown pilot that was scrapped, what do you think would have happened? What pilot? There isn't one and never has been. But if there HAD of been, you can bet it would have been sponsored by Wendy's - and the letters games would have consisted of just 5 letters, in...

Re: The Dictionary Corner guest spot.
I have just heard Anne Widdecombe tell a joke (in an inappropriate authoritarian manner) which has been told previously on the programme (with minor variations as happens with jokes). Wouldn`t the producers have spotted this and advised against a repeat telling? Its almost impossible. Des tells jok...

Is it just me, or do many people notice what strange things Des says just before the conundrum? Indeed, its not just you. Only the other day, he said "So the scores are 72 points each, so we head for a crucial conundrum - and i'll have a pink plastic spacesuit sandwich with cranberry mayonnais...

Weighing up the pros and cons, i dont think a Supremes Two is a starter. I took part in Supremes 1 and was barely able to understand the format. It dragged on for ages and was overly complicated. On the plus side, you have a higher standard of game - but that's where the plus side ends for me. On th...

Re: SPOILER ALERT!! Des O Connor and his chatting
It could be that the director has edited all the chat out, in which case apologies to Des, and instead the flak goes to the director. The director isn't responsible for content, he's responsible for the visuals, but lets blame him anyway. As for your other comments, we'll talk about them later.

Well, 4 times in 3 shows, massive improvement don't you think?
And given that you lost in the quarters, surely its about time you knocked the ebook down to £2.99?
I might buy one at that price, purely for research purposes of course.

2. Does anyone else think that the start of numbers games is a bit rushed? In letters games, you have all the time in the world to write down the letters as they come up, but in numbers games, Carol puts the numbers up very quickly and then almost immediately afterwards the target is selected. If y...

Interesting comments - Chris / Craig. The 'Language Report' from Susie is deliberately placed after Rd 9. Sometimes we ditch the J Q Z for a few shows, other times we add or remove other letters. It all depends on how its going. Although there IS a set number of letters of each kind, we're always fiddling around and changing it, so any sort of 'list' of what letters there are won't really be a true representation.
