Good show. Always liked the US version and surprised it has taken this long to come over here. What I like about it is the lack of faff. After the initial chat, it's pretty much all "action", which is unusual for a daytime quiz, which are generally 30 minute shows stretched out to last an ...

When dictionary updates occur, pretty much instantly pencil upon pencil occurs. Are people genuinely learning and memorising these hundreds/thousands of new (often nonsensical) words, or are they printing off lists? Is it cheating if they are?

As was highlighted on Monday, OUTLEAPT is now valid, which I'm sure is no consolation to Mark. According to the wiki, it hasn't come up since being valid, though. And as mentioned, it would've changed the result, as Mark would've won 111-101 instead of losing 103-108.... :o This of course i...

Just looked on the episode guide for Countdown on All 4 (https://www.channel4.com/programmes/countdown/episode-guide), and noticed that for the episodes you can't play, they've got the first week of the 30th BC (presumably because they're going to show it), but also 3 other random episodes from 201...

Maybe a controversial opinion, but the very lengthy 937.5 conversation seemed like a bizarre thing to put in a Celebrity special which probably attracted a lot of viewers who haven't watched CD before.
