What do you use to check your words when you play along? The site I thought we used either has the word, says there is no match, or just defaults to another (close) word. In the last case I never know if the word is valid or not.

Anyone else noticed that when we see letters selections on tv during the 30 seconds, the outside edges of the end letter tiles are cut off, so those letters don't appear in the middle of their tiles?

875 = 50 × 7 × (8 − 6) × 5 ÷ 4 Maybe Rachel saw this late. Can't help thinking that multiplying by 2 and dividing by 4 is a sub-optimal solution. Maybe showboating? It was basically 50/2 × 35. If you're not showboating you'd divide by 2 first and never go above the target. Maybe she did see it late...

In cases like this it's nice to see what the subtitler put - which was torturous, but then I guess that's not conclusive.

ratwig is not valid by the way in case anyone was wondering. It might seem obvious, but they should have been explicit and not put it on the board! You could see Susie seemingly looking it up but she didn't subsequently say anything after Len rambled on about it. Ragwort was available in that round...

Sam said he would stick with a 6 in the unsubtle round, maybe that's what he had. DC not mentioning it and only declaring 7s made it look like it wouldn't have been in.
