Wednesday 3rd November 2021 (Series 84, Preliminary 92)

Annedown XCI and this episode has no subtitles on All4. Countdown recap for Wednesday 3 November 2021. On this day, a dog called Laika was the first one to go into space. Anne seems to be under the impression that the dog survived until corrected by Rachel. C1: Champion Jamie Brown (1 win, 92 points...

Tuesday 2nd November 2021 (Series 84, Preliminary 91)

Annedown XC and Happy Birthday to Countdown! 39 years old today. They'll be positively middle-aged next year (Anne will like that I said "middle"-aged). Countdown recap for Tuesday 2 November 2021. C1: Champion Michael Purefoy (1 win, 76 points.) Once walked on top of the Great Wall of Chi...

Monday 1st November 2021 (Series 84, Preliminary 90)

Annedown LXXXIX and this one was obviously recorded ages ago since everyone's all got the same poppy but it's one of the special ones, so they were obviously dug out of a box. Countdown recap for Monday 1 November 2021. On this day in 1512, the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was unveiled. Anne descri...

Re: First impressions of Anne

Tabloids often eschew politics for this sort of thing. The "RICHARD WHITELEY WAS A SPY" story comes into mind. But were they doing it to hide a sleaze story? Russia and China vetoed sanctions on Syria, a quick Google tells me. Which is probably worse than an SW1A bubble story of a vote on...

The government's problem last night was the fact two issues were being confused and obfuscated. The standards committee can, and should, be reformed. This is not that controversial. Indeed, JRM has said they're keeping this on the table but wants to bring it back to the House for a "proper"...
