Well done Coral! Nice way to finish your run with a PB. I didn't actually expect her to win 8 at times during her other games when she was behind in them, but great to see a female octochamp after this long duration.

Re: Spoilers for Friday 26th February 2021 (Series 83, Prelim 40)

Any else think Rachel was a bit lenient on the first numbers? I'd interpreted it as Coral had read out the wrong method, as I heard her shuffle her paper mid-solution. Can see why you may have thought that Rachel was being lenient, though. Felt a bit for Dave at the end, but it was a great comeback...

Hard luck Declan. Should probably still make the finals though given the lack of octochamps so far. Could tell Coral felt a feeling of "Happiness" as she got the conundrum. She seemed elated, and rightly so with an 8-max game.

Thought that was Adam's best performance so far today- could be a good bet for octochampdom. Was very impressed by Louis' 6 small solve at the end though, and as Colin mentioned, on another day, it could have been closer between him and Adam.

91.4 vs. 91.2 raw % score. Surely statistically the closest final of all time, at 50.05% vs. 49.95% implied probability. I expect a raw max of 125 today so predict the final score of 114.25-114 (but no crucial). Pretty exciting. Could also be one of, if not, the strongest ever final based on combin...

Re: Spoilers for Wednsday 2 December 2020 (Series 82, Preliminary 170)

Think the combined scores of Leo's opponents may be the highest for an octochamp in the modern 15R era. Averaged around 71-ish each... A total of 574 makes for an average of 71.75. The other one I immediately thought of was Mark Murray. His opponents totalled 566, which gives an average of 70.75. G...

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 1 December 2020 (Series 82, Preliminary 169)

Combined max count of 22 between the 2 players today. Got to be one of the highest for a preliminary? Shame for Liam who could have won a few himself, but Leo looks like he could be on track for the highest ever total for a non-apterite....

This Leo chap is very good- feel as Martyn will unfortunately be restricted to #9 as a result, given that Leo seems a shoe-in octochamp.

Spoilers for Monday 23rd November 2020

That was a cracking, high-quality game. Really sorry to see Martyn go- he had a great run, and probably has the highest total of a non-octochamp. Take nothing away from Leo, who played really well.

Re: Ask Graeme?

Was thinking mainly about David O'Donnell from this series who won 5 games. Looks very unlikely that he'll be a finalist which is pretty unfortunate given that his average over his games is over 100.

Re: Ask Graeme?

Any non-finalist who averaged over 90 in their games? (excluding those who couldn't make the finals)
