Great start to the competition and at least all of the nines were in the dictionary before the nonsense update. Well done to you both. Unlucky on missing out on the joint-record, Tom. I only just got the last numbers game myself and if you use the wrong method to make the nine, it can be easy to mis...

Fantastic final, well played both! It was a finale that this intriguing series has deserved. I thought it was game over when Jonathan superbly spotted SALMONID but there was another surprise in store with Matthew forcing a crucial. A tough conundrum it was, too. Congratulations to Jonathan for becom...

Re: COLIN XII- Countdown in Lincoln, 30-31 January 2016
I can bring a board game along. It doesn't have the traditional crappy board game letters distribution, though, so I hope it won't ruin things too much. I've brought it for the past couple of years, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Has anyone ever completed an octorun without getting a conundrum? I ask this as a topical question because Matt Le Tassier is currently half way there. In my dream last night, I was losing to Paul James in my CoC game - I then saw Jack Worsley's face beaming down on me (kind of like a vision from God), who said "PICK THREE VOWELS" in a really boomy voice. I picked three vowels and ended up winning. I thanked Jack after the game, but he d...
