Recently, someone female who I used to respect greatly confided in me that they stand up for a wee. Am I right to think less of them after this revelation?

It depends on the circumstances. If, let's say (for argument's sake) a man approaching his 40's, got a bit tired and hurty knees from all the standing up then perhaps a sit down would do them good.

I think a lunch break was necessary, certainly I saw some people eating a pack up or whatnot, but an hour was too long. Half an hour max. I also agree that an 11am start was more than fair and this should remain the case.
