Watched two in-flight movies this week.

"First Man", the Neil Armstrong biopic was very good, and I can recommend it.

"Widows" based on the Lynda La Plante novel/mini-series, started off well, but the final twists were a bit preposterous.

Alan Hansen did the same on MotD.

I think the key is that "coloured" was never meant to be a derogatory term. I seem to remember that back in the early 70s "coloured" was considered more polite than "black".

Just reading this thread again. I was thinking about boxing - it doesn't have proper tournaments. It's just a challenge thing, which doesn't cut it. Give it a go. It's a ghost story rather than a gorefest, (although there is some blood and gore). Unlike the majority of horror films it's genuinely scary.

Wear a hat. Usually I look like I'm balancing the hat on my head, rather than wearing it. I can squeeze a baseball cap on, but it just looks wrong.

I would probably tip Β£4 on that bill, but like Gavin, I hate the concept of tips. I usually aim for 10%, but might only leave Β£45 on a Β£41 bill, for instance. Goldfinger. Any song that finds a rhyme for "Midas touch" gets my vote, and Shirley Bassey's delivery is epic. In fact, there isn't a Bond theme that wouldn't sound better if sung by Shirley. She should have been given the gig years ago.

I agree that George Carlin's comedy has aged much better than Richard Pryor's, but when Pryor came along no-one had done stand up like that. Maybe he gets too much credit, but I've never laughed as much as I did when I first saw "Richard Pryor Live".

Just finished Better Call Saul and Ozark. I enjoyed them both and will watch any future series. ( Ozark Season 2 is scheduled for mid 2018).
