Re: Spoilers for Friday 20th June 2008

:lol: - To be asked would be an honour, but as a losing QF I wouldn't expect it. However, I note that Steven Briers was on your list so in that case..... ;) Perhaps if I practiced 5 or 6 ball juggling, or maybe a trapeze act it would be enough to sway it in my favour!! :) I'd like to add my congratu...

Are RETIRALS / GLARIEST also in?

Also, went for (75-((8*4)+5))*9=342; didn't see the easier method!

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 1st April 2008

A dangerous player in the lower seeds now. Definitely fancy an upset in the QF. Assuming Richard gets there of course. However, if he is No.8 and DoD remains No. 1 I take it back.

Missed AUDITED and PIROGI that was mentioned!

I guess due to the lack of anyone else mentioning it that GROUPEES is a word I just invented in the SUPEREGO round. Shame - I needed it to beat Richard.

Only just watched this one so a little late but I think maybe GROUPEES was there in one round as an equaller, also had a different way to 568 in R5 ((9*9)-10)*(7+1) and also a different way to 864 in R10 with (10+7+1)*3*4*4. This guy is good. Some great words. I missed MYOPIA. Looking forward to the...

Re: Spoilers for Monday, 24th March

I am amazed by the recent quality of contestants. There have been 3 in the past week or so that have mustered 5 wins between them when each won of them could easily have notched 8 with a following wind. Surely this guy Richard can win 8?? DoD - I reckon this guy could be your closest challenger. But...

I agree. Fantastic game, both in it's quality of words and for the consistency of both players giving a close game throughout, and then to finish with a 2nd crucial conundrum too! He has every right to think himself exceptionally unlucky not to win more than one, but as I said on recap for yesterday...

Just wanted to add my congratulations to Joe on what I thought were 2 games played to a very high standard, only the pressure in the final third of his 2nd game leading to a dip in performance. I must say, like others have noted, that I thought your ability looked worthy of a final 8 placing and I'l...

Re. the numbers game. In the time I went another different way that I thought more straight forward.

9x2=18
18+7=25
25x25=625
10+4=14
625+14=639

I still did 112*8 but a slightly different 112 again: - ((25-(6/3))*5)-3=112 Almost the same as Conor's, just getting to 115 and taking off 3 rather than 110 and adding on 2 :-) As an aside I thought our Methodist Minister would win today. Congratulations to Tim for getting his 8th win. I found him quite strange to play against. Everyone always criticises the contestants, it gets tiresome. I wasn't having a go at James though, just a little poke - I'm sure he can take it :) No worries. I am particularly annoyed with myself on this subject.
