It would probably have been fine if it wasn't for the 'compulsory' hotel accomodation.
As has already been said, many people wouldn't need accomodation for Birmingham, and it's a shame because it is actually a really good centre point in the country to stage an event.

I'd attend a CO Event in Birmingham if the price was right, but I wouldn't be interested at that price.
Assuming the average CO Event price of maybe £15-£25, (so £20) that would make the accomodation £112. I would expect to do better than that, so sorry I have to say no to this one.

Re: Series 70 - 2014 onwards.
I think Series 71 is filming now; have the changes originally proposed in this thread been made for the new series? Or have they been delayed further. Having been to today's recording for series 71, I can confirm the computer is now being used, so it looks like the changes have taken place. However...

What a week this has been, starting with Bobby Johnson who really looked like he was going to take the Countdown world by storm until he st...

Re: Monday 31st March 2014
It was a great game to watch on TV, though if, like me, you were in the audience you may have thought rather differently. Trevor Grundy turned out to be quite a colourful character, and there was a lot of stuff that went on but didn't make it to our screens. When Trevor was due to pick his letters f...
